Do you want to sign up for a DIY Marionette Puppet Making Camp? If you have a group of friends who are interested, let me know your preferred dates and I am happy to open up a special week for puppet making!

If you have four friends, I will host camp on your selected week, and open up the camp for general enrollment. If you have seven or more friends, you can have a private camp for just you and your crew.  Please email me before purchasing as we will coordinate our calendars to make sure we can accommodate your camp. Camp is $600 a week per person. I will make a special listing for your camp when we have agreed on the dates.

Come learn how to make your very own marionette puppet! Marionette puppet camp is a very creative camp where you will use your imagination and learn skills that can entertain you (and others) for hours on end. We will spend five days creating a character, making a storyboard, forming the different pieces of our character, shaping, painting, and bringing our visions to life! We will learn how to use tools, manipulate wire, paint, assemble and  create accessories and props for our puppets. We will work with others and create storylines for our final day when we put on puppet shows and record each other to share with our group.

We work with a variety of materials such as paper, metal, tape, glue, paint, yarn and more to learn how to bring our visions to life.  We interact with each other to participate in a creative community and learn from each other.

Camp is from 9am till 3pm. All supplies and tools are provided. Light snacks are provided. We will take intermittent breaks and visit the park in the neighborhood as a form of recess from our activities. Lunch is NOT provided, please bring lunch and water. On the last day we walk to the Linda Mar Shopping Center where campers can use their own money to get a snack or beverage as we finish up camp and reflect on what we've learned.

Camp is designed for kids ages 8-14. Exceptions are made for private camps when the age is generally the same across the board. Then we are all learning at a similar pace.

Camp is hosted by Pacifica artist, Taryn McCabe, at her studio in Pacifica, Ca. Once you sign up you will receive an email with more information about the address along with a form for you to fill out so Taryn can learn more about your camper.
